The Korean automaker hyundai was founded by Chung Ju in 1947. The Company was later bombed and destroyed during the Korean War. In the 1950’s Chung started the company once again and turned his attention to Automobile industry. Later the Korean government decided to start importing vehicles to foreign countries.
